This is the skirt I made for Alexis' friend for her birthday. I didn't start out loving the fabric as much as I loved the first skirt I made, but now that I look at pictures, I love it.
My good friend Breanne made some of these and put a tutorial on her blog (bre-made-this.blogspot.com). Although I am too scatterbrained to follow any directions step by step and so this skirt didn't quite turn out the same as hers, I still like it. I am almost done with another one which will look more like hers. (PS I don't know how to rotate it. It isn't this direction when I pull it up. )
I received one of these from one of my many wonderful sisters in law (Roberta), before the girls were born, and it was wonderful! So when I had a friend say that she had made one....I wanted in!!! She came over and showed me how to make one and a diaper clutch all during naptime! Thanks Breanne!
I was trying to be more thoughtful and creative with my gifts this year for Christmas, so I made as many as I could. With the move being weeks before, and my lack of being on top of things....aka- procrastination, I only ended up making some aprons (for sisters) and hair bows (for my nieces). The ones I have pictured here, I actually just finished last week....just a week shy of one month AFTER Christmas! I really was pleased with how they turned out....I wish I had taken pictures of the first two I had made too! These ones here are a coordinating pair for my sister in law and her husband. The pattern is Flirty Skirty and I bought it at the Fabric Mill
